I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
